Great when it functions

This is the 3rd review I have written on this product on this website and none have been printed. First gun lasted a week then qiit. Contacted factory and they sent me a second, a new one. It quit in 10 months with light use. Warranty is only for 90 days and factory said they are not repairable. What a shame the quality isn't there as it is a nice BB gun and handles well.
Fun to shoot ---But---

The first one I purchased lasted 3 weeks. It was fun to shoot but then quit working after about a weeks. I contacted the manufacturer who told me to return it. I did and they sent me a new one. This one worked pretty well for occasional shooting but it started acting strange after about 10 months then quit altogether. I contacted Umarex and was told that the gun is only warranted for 90 days and are unrepairable. So I was out of luck. It is a shame that they are not durable as I like the style and feel. I would think think Umarex would engineer them better and want defective ones back for analysis to correct whatever is keeping these great-looking guns from being a top line model.
Not so great

My first I bought about a year ago. It failed after a couple days of light use. Factory said to return it and they shipped me another new one. This one lasted 11 months then quit working. Contacting factory they said replacement warranty was 90 days and they guns were unrepairable. So I am stuck with an unrepairable dud. I do not want to buy another Umarex as they are not reliable and unrepairable. I do like the design and handling and wish it were better quality. It was fun when it worked, especially on full auto. I even added a laser sight to mine. Darn!
Awsome but Short life span

I bought this hoping to have backyard training for my real AR. Trigger pull is spongy but OK. 6 Round burst is very fast. Accuracy acceptable for plinking only. A month AFTER the 3 month warranty expired, it stopped working. I opened it up(Do not attempt unless you are good with tools). I found the Steel firing pin fell out and the pin that keeps BB's from rolling out the barrel got stuck in the down position so the BB's just emptied out the barrel when pointed down. It is a slam-fire or open breech design and so while I had it open, I took out the timing gears and converted it to FULL AUTO. I super glued the firing pin in place and Added a Stronger spring to the BB retainer pin. Now I have A FULL AUTO(Hold down the trigger an ALL 30 Rounds Will FIRE. So for now, I have a really cool Grown-up Toy. This is not safe for KIDS. I Hope the selas last. It is aShort barrel Design so it is easy to carry around and pack. Very LOUD in full auto Mode. This is my second UMAREX Gun, The first Was their MP5 Semi-auto. That also broke shortly after use. Luck it was within the 3 month warranty. So, buy if you feel you can fix things or runn it hard for the first three months while still in warranty. It's a fun but Fragile Gun. Shoot safely.
